Bishop George Bloomer

“Today is the beginning of the rest of your life, starting now”

Best-selling author Bishop George G. Bloomer is a native of Brooklyn, New York.  Now residing in Durham, North Carolina with his wife and two daughters, he is the founder and senior pastor of Bethel Family Worship Center.  As a product of humble beginnings, he has climbed the ladder of success and now uses those learning experiences as priceless tools for empowering others to excel beyond the boundaries of physical limitations.

In June 1996, Bloomer fashioned a 30-day tent revival in the heart of downtown Durham, North Carolina.  Subsequent to its close, the church, Bethel Family Worship Center, was birthed in a small office building with approximately 20 members. With its swift growth, soon came the need for expansion.  The expansion of the ministry led to the purchase of what today houses a multi-cultural and diverse congregation.

Today, he not only pastors, but can be heard speaking weekly throughout the country and abroad to Christian and secular society on various topics of interest.  Bishop Bloomer holds a degree of Doctor of Religious Arts in Christian Psychology and conducts many seminars dealing with relationships, finances, stress management, and spiritual warfare.  He has appeared on several television and radio talk shows:

  • CNN’s “Faces of Faith”
  • Trinity Broadcasting Network
  • 700 Club, and several other radio and television talk shows nationwide
  • Harvest Show Daystar

His national broadcast, Spiritual Authority, can be seen each Sunday morning and viewed live online Tuesdays and Sundays.  He continues to travel extensively throughout the nation delivering a message to liberate and impact the lives of thousands for Christ.
